Travel arrangements

Note: Since a considerable part of our students consists of Americans we give the following information for Americans. For students from other countries we can assist with travel arrangements according to their personal request.

Program includes round-trip airfare between New York and St. Petersburg (connections from other U.S. cities can be arranged).

Ticket and visa

You will receive your visa and round trip ticket a few days before departure (Russian Consulate issues visas very close to departure date). If you have booked a connecting flight though our office, we will send that ticket, too.

Departure and arrival

If you depart from New York, USA:
You will be on your own for Finnair flight to St. Petersburg. The flight usually leaves JFK airport at 5:50 p.m. You will arrive in Helsinki the following morning and transfer for the brief flight to St. Petersburg. Info Study staff will meet you at the airport in St. Petersburg and bring you to your host family. If you have made independent arrangements to reach St. Petersburg and want us to meet you, please let us know when and how you will arrive. We charge $40.00 to meet you at the airport on arrival and $40.00 to see you off on departure.
